  FOR A MANUFACTURER WITH A 25,000+ GLOBAL MULTI-LEVEL SALES FORCE

Business Challenge   To transform the Information Services department of a company with nearly a decade of rapid year-over-year product, employee and revenue growth from an autonomous, reactive service group to a highly integrated, efficient and proactive department delivering "World Class Information Services" to the company.

Project Focus   Evaluated existing levels of service to internal customers, process work flows, controls, communications, staffing and scheduling models, and project management systems that influence the relationship between the internal customers and the company and between departments within the company. Developed a high performance operational model that included new standards of performance supported by systems, technology and processes with procedures and communications structure that achieve the "World Class" objective.

  • Designed and implemented a product development life cycle and methodology for all projects and job processing
  • Developed and implemented a Projects Administration and Client Services (PACS) database to track and report the results of all project development activities including forecasted completion dates, costs and benefits and converted 40 existing and 46 backlogged projects and jobs into it
  • Conducted an Industry benchmark analysis and designed and implemented 44 IS best practices with standards of performance to support each best practice
  • Designed and implemented project/job documentation tools and database for centralized storage
  • Implemented a new organization structure, with defined roles and responsibilities integrated with internal management incentives program
  • Developed and implemented a management operating systems that monitors, measures and reports attainment to the performance standards
